The deliberations that might occur inside a jury room are generally held inside a space that has no recording equipment as jury members are free to deliberate amongst themselves without a Los Angeles court reporter or a standard newspaper reporter listening in on what’s being said. Although jury members will often speak to the press or find themselves interviewed when the case is over, the jury room conversations that occur aren’t held in full view of the court. Sometimes even the court proceedings themselves are held in a private space where the only recorder is the court reporter.
