Recently a major food distribution company settled with a group of people who decided to sue the company because they felt they spent too much time putting on safety and flame resistant clothing before going to work and after their shift and that they weren’t paid for the time they spent getting ready. About seventeen thousand people will be getting compensation from the company even though the food distribution business will admit to no wrongdoing under the terms of the lawsuit. The policy current in effect at the company regarding safety clothing and income will likely be changed.
