Even after a student has learned to properly sit and hold a guitar, another method of good play which must be observed is how best to use a guitar pick. Despite their common appearance, there are quite a few different types of guitar picks and at the start of beginner guitar lessons it's likely a student will need to choose what type of pick he or she prefers. There are picks that may be too weak and some that might be too hard for proper play but it's usually the choice of the student which type of pick should be chosen.
